On Monday September 28thA senior lecturer of the Delta State-owned polytechnic in Ogwashi-Uku in Delta state, Mr Tobi Benson, was kidnapped by a four-man armed gang at his home along Assemblies of God Church street, off Isah road, Ogwashi-Uku.

Today, The senate has ended its sitting without the much-awaited ministerial list. The senators deliberated on Nigeria at 55 and afterwards adjourned sitting to a new legislative date. Buhari had promised to release the ministerial list before the end of this month. The month ended today

Man murders pregnant wife to avoid paying child maintenance

Sadulo Kalinin, 45, invited his five-month pregnant wife, Margarita, 33, on a shopping trip but instead knocked her unconscious then took her into some secluded woods close to the Russian city of Novosibirsk where he strangled and buried her. According to the police, the crime was motivated by Margarita’s demand for more money, threatening legal action if he didn’t support her and their five children.

Wife of Former Governor Chimaroke Nnamani of Enugu State, Nnenna Agnes Nnamani has died at the age of 47. A statement by Dan Nwomeh, the media aide to the former governor, says Nnenna died following complications from sickle cell disease and cerebral aneurysm at a Florida Hospital in the US on Friday September 4th. May her soul rest in peace Amen.

With only $150k in savings, Buhari may be the least corrupt in Africa - Washington post

Over the weekend, Washington Post published an article   saying that President Buhari may be the least corrupt leader in Africa after declaring that he has only N30 million in his account. The article below "By the standards of sub-Saharan African leaders, Nigeria's President Muhammadu Buhari is dirt-poor. According to a statement released by his government, he has $150,000 in his savings account. He owns five homes and two mud houses, an orchard and ranch with 270 head of cattle, 25 sheep, five horses and a variety of birds. He has bought two cars from his savings.. "President Buhari had no foreign account, no factory and no enterprises. He also had no registered company and no oil wells," reads the statement released by the spokesman, Garba Shehu, describing the president's assets as "Spartan."
